I am a qualified psychotherapist working with individuals and couples at my practice in in Swansea, Dorset and worldwide via secure online video streaming. In private practice for over 15 years covering a variety of issues including abuse both physical and emotional, anxiety, depression, difficulties in personal and professional relationships, disordered eating, identity, menopause.
I began training to be a therapist because I was interested in people, their lives and what happens and how we deal with things that are difficult, uncomfortable, painful or overwhelming. The more training I undertook the more interested I became and continued to pursue therapy personally and professionally, always wanting to work in private practice. I began my training with a CPCAB diploma in therapeutic counselling and then an advanced diploma. After this I trained at the Institute of Psychosynthesis in London and with Professor Petruska Clarkson at Physis in Harley Street. Later on, I gained a first class honours degree in psychotherapy and counselling, all the time working with clients, gaining experience and learning from them. I became accredited with the BACP in 2005 and am now a registered and senior accredited member and a member of the BACP coaching division.
One of the advantages of being an integrative therapist is that I can work with different types of therapy depending on who I am working with and what they want to work on as everyone who comes to therapy is individual and I don’t believe that one size fits all. All of this gets to be discussed at the first free initial consultation.
If you think that anything I have talked about here could be what you are looking for and you are interested in finding out more, please call or email me to arrange a free 30 minute consultation to come and meet me to talk about how therapy might be beneficial for you.
