Jill Goodhew

I am a qualified and experienced psychotherapist working with individuals and couples online locally, nationally and worldwide via video streaming. I have been in private practice for over 25 years covering a wide variety of issues including abuse both physical and emotional, anxiety, depression, difficulties in personal and professional relationships, disordered eating, identity and menopause.

I began training to be a therapist because I was interested in people, their lives and what happens and how we deal with things that are difficult, uncomfortable, painful or overwhelming. The more training I undertook the more interested I became and continued to pursue therapy personally and professionally, always wanting to work in private practice. I began my training with a CPCAB diploma in therapeutic counselling and then an advanced diploma. After this I trained at the Institute of Psychosynthesis in London and with Professor Petruska Clarkson at Physis in Harley Street. Later on, I gained a first class honours degree in psychotherapy and counselling, all the time working with clients, gaining experience and learning from them. I became accredited with the BACP in 2005 and am now a registered and senior accredited member. I am approved by many private health insurers including Axa, Aviva, Bupa, PruHealth and WPA.
